A Birthday Cake
Tuesday night quickie baking stint for a birthday treat to an office mate :)
Made with a chocolate cake base with a rum-chocolate ganache
the cake was sliced midway and filled with the ganache as well
300 g of chocolate (200g of 85% coco and 100g compound chocolate buttons)
for a quick dress-me-up, Lindt chocolate bits on top and colored sugar sprinkled on top
Last year's cake for her here... at least my baking and cake decorating has upgraded to ganache from icing sugar hehehehe!!
